OH HI, PERSON WHO DOESN’T FOLLOW ME.
MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU POST ABOUT ME.
SAYING THAT I ***UNDERSTAND THE MINDSET*** OF TYWIN LANNISTER DURING THE RAPE OF TYSHA ***DOES NOT MEAN AND NEVER WILL MEAN*** THAT I JUSTIFY RAPE.
MAYBE YOU SHOULD READ SOME OF THE THINGS I POST BEFORE YOU SAY I JUSTIFY RAPE.
HERE, I’LL QUOTE YOU FROM THIS POST I MADE A MONTH AGO:

A LOT of the characters do bad things in this series, and that doesn’t stop people from loving them. I believe it’s ok to like characters that do problematic things.

There are very … problematic is an understatement, but let’s go with that … there are very problematic things that Tywin does, I am the first to admit it.

Tysha’s rape is a very big deal to me. I took a lot of time trying to figure out WHY Tywin had Tysha raped, and I’ve come to the conclusion that it wasn’t really about Tysha, or even about Tyrion. In his youth, Tywin watched as his father Tytos kept making all of these bad financial and political decisions under the influence of his mistress, a common woman; this almost brought about the ruin of House Lannister. As a result, Tywin spends the rest of his life trying to ensure the success of his House. At the time, there was no precedent of anyone leaving the Kingsguard, so I think Tywin was keeping his options open about a potential heir in Tyrion. So when Tyrion marries Tysha, Tywin basically saw history repeating itself. Here is this common woman who would run their House into the ground again after Tywin is dead. It touches on his neuroses so much that he freaks out and goes overboard in undoing this marriage. It’s basically a psychotic break, similar to what Tyrion experiences when he murders Shae.

These are just how I feel like I’ve come to understand Tywin Lannister.
Would he be my best friend in real life? No. Would he be my best friend if I was dropped down in the middle of Westeros? Also no.
But I’m drawn to his story. I like how he began as a hero, bringing about this remarkable turnaround to House Lannister. How his siblings loved him dearly for it. How this man who was so cold and so “villainous” also had one of Westeros’s great love stories. How that love broke him beyond repair. How, perhaps because of the things he did to advance House Lannister, the House will almost certainly fall by the end of the series. It’s a beautiful tragedy.

I DO NOT CONDONE RAPE.
I DO NOT JUSTIFY RAPE.
IT IS TERRIBLE BEYOND WORDS HAPPENED TO TYSHA. I HAVE STARTED SCREAMING AT PEOPLE OVER THE INTERNET BECAUSE THEY DID NOT TAKE TYSHA INTO ACCOUNT.
AND SINCE YOU DIDN’T MENTION A CHARACTER AND MAYBE YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT TYRION, I BELIEVE THAT A THIRTEEN YEAR OLD BOY — WHO WAS ***FORCED*** BY HIS SCARY AS FUCK FATHER TO HAVE SEX WITH TYSHA — I BELIEVE TYRION IS A VICTIM OF SEXUAL ABUSE AS WELL. IF ANYONE REALLY HATES THAT OPINION, WELL, COME AT ME, BRO.
